Sensory Equipment for PICU

So pleased that we are able to help the intensive care ward at the Great North Children’s Hospital with this sensory equipment…

This will mean that every baby who is admitted to the ward will have a mobile, a light box and a fancy new interactive mirror at their cot/incubator. This equipment will of course go along with the CD player we have already donated, the TVs and DVDs available for the children and the iPads which contain baby sensory apps.

All this together means we can help create a stimulating environment for the babies (many who are newborns who need surgery after birth) so they can continue their neurological development in hospital and also be distracted from the treatment.
