Bereavement Support Group

Our Bereavement Support Group is held on the first Thursday of each month from 7pm – 8.30pm in Dearham Village Hall

The group is provided for parents who have lost a baby and is a safe place where you will find support, others who understand your grief and an opportunity to talk about your baby. The group is run by Evie’s parents along with Helen, from our advisory panel, who is a Bereavement Liaison Specialist Nurse. We sometimes offer an activity or prompts for discussion in the group, but the majority of the meetings are run as an open discussion where parents share stories, experiences and talk about what they feel they need to in an informal setting.

The atmosphere at each meeting is very supportive, everyone cares for each other and new members are warmly welcomed to the group.

The grief of losing a child is something that stays with you, and no matter how long ago you suffered the loss of your child you will find support and help at the group. We encourage anyone who has lost a child to join us and talk about it – so many people who have attended the group have felt so much better after sharing their story with others and spending time with other parents who know what they are going through.

If you would like to get in touch about the group please email us on and we can chat before you attend a meeting if this is something which will help.
