12 Days of Christmas – Day 11

It is nearly the big day…and we are nearly at the end of our 12 Days of Christmas for 2019!!

As we have mentioned before it is so difficult for poorly children and their families to spend time in hospital at Christmas…it is tough at any time of year, but when you are so aware of what is happening in everyone else’s home and what you would normally doing it can feel really difficult.

Parent’s may be able to get some presents together and wrapped for their child, but with such a variety of challenges and depending on the personal situation of the family there is a chance a child might wake up on Christmas morning in hospital with no presents to open… but not on our watch!

Every child on the Children’s Ward in the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle will wake up to one of our gift boxes tomorrow morning – filled with little gifts, treat and comforts! There are little toys to entertain them, treats for when they feel up to eating them and some comforting items to help them while they are poorly… every child and family in the ward will know they are not alone and that someone is thinking about them this Christmas.

This is all thanks to your support and fundraising – you are helping us to make such a difference to families during their time of need…which feels extra special at Christmas. So thank you, to everyone who has supported us this year!

Tune in tomorrow (in the morning and night) for our last day double bill donation!
