The 3 Lakes Walk – Event #1

After a successful test run in October we are thrilled to launch a new event for 2019 – The 3 Lakes Walk!

The event is a 22 mile walk, tackling circuits of Derwentwater (10 miles), Crummock (8 miles) and Buttermere (4 miles), all in one day!

There are group leaders for the event so no navigating is required – all you need to do is the training to make sure you are ready for the day. Even though the majority of the walking is flat and on good paths, there are uphill sections and boggy areas which take it out of your legs! A good level of fitness is required to complete the challenge, and it will be much more enjoyable if you are ready for it!

As with all our events, the money raised will go towards helping sick children and their families in The North East and Cumbria. We ask that everyone who signs up for the event pledges to raise a minimum £250 in sponsorship.

More information about the event will be sent out over the coming months, but we are always available for advice on training/preparation or information in the build up to the event.

Every participant will receive a lanyard containing important information for the day and a goodie bag of treats to keep you going throughout the challenge! Kit lists and suggested food for the day will be sent out as part of the event information over the coming months, as well as maps of the routes, travel and parking info and sponsorship help.

As this is the first year of the event we are limiting the number of participants, so we expect the places to go quickly!

To sign up to be part of the event, simply fill in the form below and complete your payment!

You can also see below some of the photographs from our test event in October, which the wonderful team from NEPO took part in!
