Josh Hewer Rides Again!!

Josh hewer 13 from Cockermouth is on his bike again to do another cycling challenge for Team Evie! This time he intends to use pedal power to cycle the C2C cycle route also know as the sea to sea, from Sunderland to Whitehaven 136 miles in one day. He is doing the challenge for Team Evie after he has supported us for the last 2 years raising over £1500 to help sick children and their families!

Josh is a really important member of Team Evie, taking on the Durham Dynamo in 2016, followed by the ‘Ride to he Sun’ event in 2017! He has really covered some miles, raised lots of money and made a huge difference to families in our area!

He started training for his latest challenge earlier this year and has completed 2 cycle events already, one of 55 miles supporting Alzheimer’s and also the Townend challenge over 40 miles which takes in climbing Whinlatter, Newlands and Honister before returning over Whinlatter. He has also done a training run crossing 3 counties in one ride (see photos). He will be joined once again by his Dad, Graeme, and friend Peter Monkhouse.

Josh who attends Cockermouth school and is a member of the cycle wise academy is hoping people support him in his challenge. He has set up a JustGiving page where people can sponsor him,  where the money goes directly to Team Evie. If you would like to sponsor Josh click on the link to head to his JustGiving page.
