The 12 Days of Christmas – Day 8 – Emergency Parent Bags to Ward 9

Here we are for day 8 of our 12 Days of Christmas!

We already supply emergency parent bags to the Nectar ambulance team, PICU and Ward 2, but we are delighted to now donate some to Ward 9 at the Great North Children’s Hospital!

This now means if a child is rushed in to hospital needing surgical treatment or care, or admitted from A&E, and the parents are unprepared for a stay in hospital, they have the basic supplies to get by for a few days. Each bags contains:

• shower gel
• shampoo/conditioner
• toothpaste/toothbrush
• hair bobbles
• a small towel
• deodorant
• comb

We hope that these bags can make a difference and reduce the stress faced by parents when their child is admitted to hospital. Again, these donations are all made possible by your kindness – thank you!
